So Let Me Apologize Again…

Sorry, everyone. I will not create the Hazel Brown series.

No Hazel Brown 😦

I am sorry. The story was just not coming to me. I can’t do this. I can’t write a gaming comic. I don’t know the first thing about gaming comics. Hazel also needed a better name. What was I thinking? Hazel Brown? That is in no way, shape or form related to gaming! Before I realized that this was a huge mess waiting to happen, I came up with a list of names for her. I know that I’m not making the comic anymore, but I want you to know the other names I had for her. My personal favorites were Domo Arigato, Robin Bots, and April Fools.

Sorry, everyone. You’ve been duped. There was never going to be a Hazel Brown series. I’m sorry if anyone got excited. I just love April Fools day, and I really wanted to play a joke on everyone.

However, I will make it up to you. Here is a list of family friendly webcomics featuring everything from videogame characters to simple, cute critters. All of these comics are rated PG except for The Last of the Polar Bears, which is rated G. I had no hand in creating them, and I am not responsible for any of the sites’ contents.

Brawl in the Family

Kidjutsu (a website featuring several kid friendly comics)

The Last of the Polar Bears

Adventures of Rick

Enjoy, and happy April Fools day.

So Let Me Apologize…

Meet Hazel Brown

Meet Hazel Brown

Listen, guys. I know I just started posting the pages of my Digimon fancomic, I know that I have two other comics to start, and I know a lot of you are waiting to see at least one page of those comics. However, I must inform you that those projects have to take a backseat. You see, many of my ideas are revamped versions of stories that I created years ago. I usually switch from writing one story to the next. I can never stick to just one. It is something that depends on how I feel at the moment. I know. Switching from one idea to the next so quickly is terrible. It’s a bad habit of mine. I am honestly trying to stop myself from doing it. However, Hazel’s comic has been eating away at me recently. I haven’t done anything with it since 2006 (which, coincidentally, is when I thought of most of my Digimon story), and I think it’s time that I share her with all of you.

Hazel Brown’s comic will not have a set plot. Instead, it will be a gaming webcomic that reviews all of the latest games. Now I know some of you are saying “Sorrel’s a gamer? I never knew she played anything other than Pokemon!” The funny thing is, I play a lot of games. I don’t play them as often as I used to, and I think I might be more of a casual gamer, but I still play games. The comic is worth a shot. After all, what I don’t know, I can read about. It will be like a challenge. I think it’s worth it.

Anyway, Hazel is a spunky robot gamer who takes games a little too seriously. She likes things like Legend of Zelda and Sonic the Hedgehog (she likes popular and obscure franchises). Her favorite MMORPG is Minecraft, and her favorite platform game is Spyro Skylanders. Aside from being a very passionate gamer, Hazel is also very temperamental. Things like annoying waiting in a long line for a movie ticket will make her angry. This personality is a bit different from the characters I’m used to making, but hey! It’s a challenge.

Enjoy the Hazel concept art (It has something that resembles shading!).
