Alive and Busy

Super duper busy

Have Delmonte and some dumb animal people to pass the time.

Whoever gave Pi and Monroe that cd is a dead man.

Dang Daniel! Back at it again with the sketches!

I draw Brooke a lot. If you don’t draw Brooke a lot, you forget how to draw Brooke, and her face gets so out of proportion that you try to erase it with a brush pen and that makes things worse 😛

Nahele sketches before Nahele became Nahele and there’s gonna be a mini flood of Naheleness eventually. He’s an orc…fairy…sprite…thing…He hangs with Brooke and somehow hasn’t gotten on her nerves :1

The rest are the only drawings I liked from the music challenge (put your playlist on shuffle and try to draw an image within the time of each song. No skipping, no restarting. It’s a real work out I tell you!). You’re supposed to do ten, but I did thirteen and of that amount only these few came out well.

Monroe gets Pompeii

Rosabelle gets Three Second Memory

Pi gets Sorry (Also known as that song where somebody went crazy with the sound effects)

Delmonte gets Applause

Jetta gets Walking on Broken Glass

The challenge is tons of fun. You should totally so it when you get the chance.

SketchDump 1

Decided to upload a few sketch dumps here because I have tons of sketchbook doodles that aren’t pretty enough to be on their own XD

Brooke is kinda…Rude…and mean…and Tammy somehow manages to keep Brooke in line so they don’t both walk away with broken arms :1

Tammy and Liz don’t like each other much, probably because Liz comes from a line of slightly arrogant purebred harpies and Tammy’s entire family are monster hunters.

Delmonte (armless bro) likes insulting people in the politest way possible. He’s both a jerk and a gentlemen.

I’ve got one more to go because sketchdumps!!! XD

Circus Gentlemen

He’s not short. Queith’s just tall. Though he is kinda on the short side…

Playing around with the design of these circus people. Queith’s hair is now nice and short and Mr. McThrowing Knife has muttonchops. These gents look nice, but Mr. Knife Thrower could look a little better. I’m also thinking of calling him Jacob Miles. It’s classy, although I feel like I’ve heard this name somewhere before…

A New Year and a New Chance to Not Finish Anything

Bye bye 2014! Was nice knowing you! Thanks for being the year I get stuff done!

Thanks everyone who came along for that funky 2014 ride! You’re awesome people and awesome motivation! Here’s hoping for an awesome 2015!

Enjoy some really off model punks!

More Circus Folk Stuff!

And by more I mean one pic!

And by folks I meant that one dude with the funny name!

And by folks I meant that one dude with the funny name!

Decided to just go with the flow and draw whatever comes to mind. Expect boogying Monroe sketches some time this week.

I’m playing around with ideas for these dorks. Queith (who I realized didn’t need an ‘n’ in his name) had the most boring act out of all of his colleagues, and it desperately needed to be changed. I mean, cat man? Really? He’s not even that catlike! Taking notes from a few old timey sideshows to figure out what he should be. It’s really a choice between armless man and man with stretchy skin. Though he would be able to do a couple of tricks either way, he wouldn’t be able to do anything as dangerous as the older circus folk. That would feel redundant.

Let’s Get this Party Started!

A few minutes late, but it's done : D

The 100 Themes Challenge has officially started!

Fun fact about this picture: I thought that it would be best to make the outline nice and thin by using a pen specifically designed for sketching. It seemed like a good idea at the time, and it worked to an extent. I just don’t like how often the nib needed to be dipped into ink. The lines also came out a bit messy, but I think that can be blamed on me. Anyway, I went back to using my regular inking pen for a few things. Gotta love that pen. It never fails.

Pumpkin kid will be posted in a little later on.

Pleased to Meet You~

WIP Sketch because I'm still alive!

WIP Sketch because I’m still alive!

Really sorry about not uploading anything yesterday. Time management isn’t my forte, but I’m trying to use this sketch a day thing as a way to improve that. I’m not sure how it’s going, but I’d like for it to become a habit.

Anyway, I finally decided to try my hand at the 100 Themes Challenge (W00t! Six years late to the party!). It’s a list of words and phrases that you use as inspiration for various works of art. If you find yourself on a lot of art sites, then you have probably seen the challenge floating around. I always thought it looked like fun, and artist’s block was kicking me in the face when I decided that this was a good idea. I’m excited for it, but let’s be honest here. You and I both know that I’m too busy/ lazy to finish anything as cool as this. Let’s both just enjoy the ride and see where it goes and how long it’ll take before I forget to finish.

As for the sketch, it’s supposed to be for the introduction theme. It’s not done yet, but I wanted to upload it anyway since I missed last night’s upload. These two old timey dorks are two of my characters for a story that is bound to change drastically in the future. As of now, they are a couple of sideshow performers whose main schticks are performing really dangerous stunts. He’s throws knives, and she swallows swords and walks on a bed of nails. This is years before the main story, back when he was new to that particular circus. They aren’t romantically involved. He’s just being somewhat of a kiss up really polite and trying to show her some respect as the eldest performer. She’s impressed by how thick he’s piling it on.

And that’s all you need to know for now. See you tomorrow night!
